When choosing a pickup truck camper, customers often focus on the layout, insulation, or off-road capability. However, excellent after-sales support is just as important.

The Issue:

Recently, one customer reported that the diesel heater inside the camper showed signs of fuel returning after filling the tank, which could cause a small amount of fuel leakage around the outlet.

During transportation or after refueling, fuel could flow back through the outlet under certain conditions. This was not a failure of the heater itself, but it could result in a small amount of fuel appearing around the outlet if the fuel tank was overfilled.

Our goal was simple: Solve the customer's problem immediately while improving future production.

Step 1: A simple solution for existing customer

For campers that have already been delivered, the solution is straightforward. The customer only need to:

·  Find the extra hose included with the camper.

·  Connect the hose to the heater's fuel outlet.

·  Route the hose upward to create a higher fuel path.

·  Keep the fuel level below 2/3 of the tank when refueling.

This simple modification effectively reduces fuel return and prevents leakage. Many customers completed the installation in just a few minutes.

Step 2: We now include the hose with every camper with diesel heater

Customer feedback helps us improve every product. To make installation easier, MGK now places the extra hose inside one of the camper with diesel heater drawers before shipment.

This means customers already have everything needed if adjustment is required after delivery. No additional parts need to be purchased.

Step 3: A permanent improvement for new production

Continuous improvement is one of MGK's manufacturing principles.

Starting this year, all MGK pickup truck campers are equipped with diesel heaters using a straight fuel outlet instead of the previous bent outlet.

The straight outlet design significantly reduces the possibility of fuel returning and makes the fuel system more reliable. This upgrade is now part of our standard production.
